We use AI and data science to support efforts to address workforce decline, make work more fulfilling, enable sustainable consumption and production, and reduce inequality.
The third wave of AI, sparked by the rise of deep learning, has reached the business world through collaboration between industry and academia. AI is increasingly being deployed to address challenges across industries. At the same time, issues that demand action across society, such as labor shortages, sustainable consumption and production, and reducing inequality, have attracted growing attention. AI also holds significant potential to address these broader challenges. pratya supports your efforts to solve social challenges with data science and AI, helping build a more prosperous society.

AI can have a substantial impact on business operations, but its use also raises serious ethical questions. These include discriminatory outcomes caused by bias in training data and responsibility for decisions made by AI. To address these questions with no clear-cut answers, pratya draws on classical philosophical discussions of ethics and prevailing definitions in contemporary academic research. We prepare reports, conduct literature reviews and support algorithm development to help you establish ethical guidelines suited to your business.
Data accumulated through everyday operations holds a wealth of information that can inform business decisions. Extracting valuable insights from large volumes of data, however, requires analytical skills grounded in a deep understanding of data science. pratya's experienced engineers support your operations through data analysis and visualization. We also train staff to bring analytical work in-house, aiming to make work more fulfilling through the use of data science.
Forecasting future sales and demand to inform business decisions, or finding optimal combinations through matching and scheduling under multiple constraints, are critical tasks that require extensive domain knowledge. In an era of labor shortages, these tasks can lead to long working hours, while errors in judgment can result in overproduction and excess supply. Drawing on your accumulated data and in-depth discussions with staff, pratya introduces AI trained on your domain knowledge into your operations. By automating forecasting and matching, we aim to address labor shortages and optimize production.
Founder & Representative
Joined NTT Laboratories in 2010, developing machine learning-based anomaly detection algorithms for safe network operations. This work was later commercialized by NTT Advanced Technology as the AI anomaly prediction solution @DeAnoS. He also authored numerous research papers on communication quality for Japanese and international academic journals and international conferences.
Joined PKSHA Technology in 2019. As an engineering manager, he worked on projects ranging from the exploration of advanced technologies to development for business deployment. His experience includes developing credit card fraud detection algorithms, using deep learning for audience expansion, and building advertising conversion prediction models.
Founded pratya LLC in 2021 to accelerate the use of data science in solving social challenges.
